A’s rally late to snap four-game skid
The A’s weren’t the only team at McAfee Coliseum with a young ace on the mound as All-Star starter Dan Haren was opposed by Tigers righty Justin Verlander. The two entered the game with a combined record of 23-6 and a 2.89 ERA, but it was the A’s offense that was able to get it done, scoring four runs in the sixth inning to supply Haren with his 13th win after a 7-3 victory.
